Technically 2401, physically 21. James Franco. | |
[rs=2] | Full name: Leonidas Nicolaides. Position: Camper. Height: 6'0" Weight: 170lbs. Personality: It's safe to say that Leon's mind is in the wrong time period. After having been pulled from the underworld, the way he acts in the present resembles how he did back in Sparta. He would be prepared to withdraw his sword, which he carries with him everywhere, at any moment. Leon is self-assertive, aggressive, confident and arrogant. He believes that he can win any battle, ignoring the fact that he did actually die in one. Yet, he looks at that gloriously. After all, what Spartan man would not want to die in battle? It would be shameful to do otherwise. Leon isn't actually that clever though. As said before, he's arrogant. So he believes himself to be better than he actually is. He's a little self-obsessed and a little narcissistic. But combined with all that, he always gets straight to the point. He doesn't understand riddles or analogies, or even anything modern. He doesn't understand things like sarcasm either. And will take everything literally. Of course, if it involves him having to do something, then he will always judge a situation on how strong his opponent looks. If they look somewhat weaker, then he will always turn down what they ask. Unless it is someone like his sister or someone she cares for. Leon can easily get into fights. What with his habit of taking things literally. But he can get easily offended by minor comments and will serve out death threats when and where he can. And even follow them through if he truly wishes too. When it suits him, Leon can be pretty dangerous if let loose. He would never attack a woman, however. And he strongly believes that women should have a fair share in society. As well as in their importance in childbirth. Women were worthy of receiving recognizable honors back in Sparta for even dying in childbirth. Not that he'd ever want that. If Leon found a woman, he would treat her well and care for her. But it would be difficult. Leon's idea of courting a woman is very old-fashioned. He says things literally and tends to speak his mind. Which can often make him receive a slap or two. Immortal parent: Ares. Claimed?: Yes. Mortal parent: Aigle Nicolaides. Other relatives: Chara Koenig, younger sister. Wolfgang Koenig, brother-in-law. Many other siblings not worth naming. History: Back in Ancient Sparta, there lived a woman named Aigle Nicolaides. To call her beautiful and/or sexy would have been a major understatement. And she was strong, too. With these attributes, Aigle had a reputation that made her so well-known among nearly all other Spartan men. She was provocative. They say she had a different man every night. Of course, this meant the amount of children she had was far from few. Seeing as contraception didn't really exist back then. For a few years, Aigle went through a phase of hanging around with the soldiers of Sparta. Constantly she flirted with them, and every night she went to bed with a different one. But one day, one of them had been attracted to her beauty and he had taken the chance and slept with her that very night, before disappearing for good. No one knew where he went. None of the other soldiers had even known who he was. But because of that night, Aigle fell pregnant and stayed at home from that point. Nine months later, she gave birth to a son. She named him Leonidas because of the king and hero of Sparta several hundred years ago, thinking that he was conceived with a soldier so it would make sense for him to be called that. Some of the soldiers returned to Aigle's house and examined the boy. They determined him to be strong and so he went on living. Until the age of seven, Leonidas was closest to only the one sibling. Even though she often shut herself off from the rest of the world. He talked to her when he could and enjoyed her company. Although, when he turned seven he was taken by soldiers and lived with other children his age. He went through harsh physical discipline and deprivation just to make him strong, which the other boys endured too. He learned how to fight and how to endure pain. He could endure pain and make it look like nothing was hurting him. It was exactly what the Spartans taught him. He went through harsh training until he reached the age of twenty, at which point he took a rigorous test which he indeed passed and thus became a proper citizen of Sparta. It was at this time when Ares had claimed him as his son, and he was required to start searching for a wife. But before he could do so, he and his friends were pulled into battle. In which the Spartans did win, but he unfortunately died in the final stages of it. It was a victorious death. One any Spartan should be proud of. He even received recognition in Sparta. For a couple thousand years, he stayed in the Underworld. That was until the second world war came. A demigod who studied Sparta intensively realized they needed the aid of the Spartans for help with the war. And so with great difficulty, he pulled Leonidas out from the underworld (only managing to get the one). But by the time they had escaped the underworld, far too much time had passed. Too many years. The war had long gone. Leonidas wandered the country for a while until a satyr found him and took him to Camp. The new world was unusual for him. So different. And it confused him when he saw Chara in this new camp. The two spoke for a while, and he understood then that he had a brother-in-law. He had missed a lot during death. And now was his time to catch up. He has been at camp ever since. |
