TWO HUNDRED AND FIVE YEARS OLD (ALTHOUGH ACTING EIGHTEEN). SEN MITSUJI. | |
[rs=2] | Full name: Well around camp he goes by the identity of Mo Benjamin Boka. However, in reality his name is Masao Kobayashi. Position: Camper. Code word: It's in the rules. Height: Weight: lbs. Personality: Immortal parent: Hephaestus. Claimed?: Yes. Mortal parent: Aiko Kobayashi. [x] Other relatives: Yatuka Kobayashi, stepfather. [x] And Minoru Ito, adopted father and mentor (not exactly related blood wise but he might as well be considered a relative). [x] Lastly the Dezhnyov family - distant blood relations. History: This tale begins in 1808 with a man and woman - Aiko and Yatuka Kobayashi. They lived in what would soon become the village of Yawata and although naturally you would expect the married couple to have a healthy, loving relationship, that was far from the truth. Yatuka was hardly a man. He had little respect for anyone except those who could advance his stature in society. He wanted to go onto do big things. Although setting up a quiet little business in Yawata it didn't take long for the snake to begin expanding his trade (vegetables and clothing) into nearby areas. He made a lot of profit and began muscling in on other people in the same trade. Yatuka indulged himself in alcoholic beverages and pretty women because he was a man deserving of the finer things in life. However, his wife Aiko, no matter how dissatisfied with her life remained completely faithful to Yatuka. She was a very committed wife and understood her place in society. That was until she met a man who was definitely not a native. He was not even from Japan. Why did she feel so drawn to him? He was disfigured, clearly not a man who made a good living, but yet he was so muscular and scarred - there were so many stories he could possibly share. So much knowledge she could absorb from a man who looked ever so wise and had clearly seen and faced the atrocities of the world. They got talking and surprise surprise, they slept together. Fortunately Yatuka was out on business but she knew this could never be spread. She'd had sexual intercourse with an outsider. What had she been thinking? Hephaestus fled. He just took off without saying anything. Although, he did leave behind a gold ring with 'H' engraved. As we all know, Hephaestus is a socially awkward god (much like us then XD), and it was his way of saying thank you and an apology for just ditching her. To his dismay the gesture wasn't well received; Aiko just placed the ring in a hidden place to just gather dust. She never wore it once. Of course, seeing as this is a story about their son, Aiko fell pregnant with a baby boy. For a long while she kept up the pretense that the boy was Yatuka's and he was none the wiser. Sucker. There was only one problem - Aiko was a very honest and genuine person. She couldn't keep lying to her husband, especially about the child she was going to have. So just a month after she gave birth to baby Masao she told Yatuka that he was not the father. Yatuka was furious and gave his wife a good beating before carrying the baby boy to a river just a short walk away from his lovely home and he dumped him into it. The problem with letting fate claim someone is sometimes fate doesn't feel like the time is right; Minoru Ito was having a pleasant stroll when he spotted the baby in the river. He retrieved the boy and brought him to his home and immediately contacted someone who could help the baby make it through the night. To everyone's surprise Masao survived and he turned out to be a healthy boy. Minoru named him as such and so Masao was originally called Masao Ito, becoming Minoru's adopted son. Minoru definitely tried to instill good values into Masao as he grew up. He taught him how to speak, read and write Japanese. Masao also eventually learned how to speak English as it was an important language to have when speaking to people who weren't natives and alongside this he learned to live off of the land. Masao was a bright child and began to experiment with spare metals and other materials to create contraptions that would make harvesting crops easier for the two. The local blacksmith also took the growing boy under his wing and developed his crafting skills so he could create decent tools and eventually weapons. Eventually Minoru would share with Masao that he was trained in ninjutsu. Masao being technically his eldest son meant that he was to be trained in it himself. So of course, alongside his job farming for Minoru, he began to learn. He picked it up better than Minoru had expected. Perhaps it was because Masao was a demigod and thus easily adapts to situations and can fight proficiently naturally anyway. |
