[rs=2] | Full Name: Geoffrey Leon Arman Position: Monitor Height: 5' 7" Weight: 140 Personality: Smug jackass, would probably be the most succinct way of describing Geoffrey. He walks around as though he owns the place and most others are just peons he allows to live at camp. Having been practically raised at the camp, he feels possessive of it like he has more claim to it than most other campers. He's vain and self centered and will almost always save his own ass before anything or one else. He is, however, incredibly loyal to the camp and obedient to his superiors. He believes strongly in keeping his home safe and believes that the people above him have the best interests of his home at heart. Immortal Parent: Hypnos Claimed?: Yes Mortal Parent: Marina Arman Other Relatives: none History: Marina Arman was a happy healthy little girl all the way up until she got in a tragic car accident and fell into a coma. The kind one never wakes up from. Hooked up on IVs and other medical type goodness she withered away to skin and bones and scars, grotesque and depressing to look at. It didn't matter to Marina, though, because as far as she knew she was as beautiful as ever. She lived on inside her dreams, the knowledge that she was asleep as remote to her as it is to most people when they sleep. Now and then memories would surface for a brief moment, leaving her confused and sad for reasons she had already forgotten. But the appeal of her fantastical dreamland would pull her away again and she'd be fine. Her dreams had elves and orcs and dragons and unicorns, but she was always the only human. Until one day a man came to her. Not an elf nor a dwarf nor a giant but a human like her. And for a time there was a great romance, with him as her prince and her as his damsel. And eventually they found themselves having adventures in the bedroom as well as across the land. Eventually Hypnos left, as gods are apt to do, and the memory of him faded from her mind like most unneeded things from her past. One memory stayed, though, the memory of a coupling, and that was because she was pregnant. The doctors were appalled when they realized she was with child. Who would do such a thing, aside from some pervert who had seen Kill Bill, of course. They were going to terminate the pregnancy when Hypnos intervened and drew the slumber back from Marina just once, just long enough for her to grab the doctor's hand and whisper "don't kill my baby." before slipping back under. Flabbergasted and shaken, the doctor honored her wish. Nine months later Geoffrey was born. A crying, screaming little boy who seemed healthy enough. In her dreams, too, was a little baby who would fade in and out of her world. Her child, Marina knew. Geoffrey was put into the foster system, where hope of ever finding a home for him seemed slim, especially when he slipped into an inexplicable coma at the tender age of eighteen months. For the next eight years of his life he stayed in the dreamland with his mother, knowing no other world. But his father wanted more for his son than to just dream his potential completely away, especially with the depleted amount of demigods. So Geoffrey had no choice, he woke up. Geoff was taken to Camp, where he had a hard time at first. The Apollo campers did their best with him, being able to repair the muscle atrophy that happened so he could stand and move, but he would always appear sickly from the first eight years of his life spent not moving. Nothing could repair his stunted emotional growth, though, which was much more on par with that of a four year old than an eight year old due to his limited contact with others. Geoff was taught to obey the camp staff without question, that the camp was his home and his safe place and the most important place on earth. An impressionable child, the lessons sunk in. He was dutiful and practiced hard. He never liked physical work, so set himself to studying and practicing the powers he had from his father, especially the ability to make people fall asleep. The real world was strange for Geoff, but he always had his dreams to look forward to. That's where his mother was, the world he had grown up in. But time is a fickle thing in dreams, and what seemed like only a day to the real world, had been much, much longer in Marina's dream, too long. The memory of Geoff had faded away and though Marina was friendly and inviting, it was clear to her son that she had forgotten all about him. Hurt and angry, Geoff never saw his mother again. Instead, he turned his dream travels onto a different, more sinister path. He found that he enjoyed visiting the dreams of others and turning them into nightmares. He was always careful, though, to only torment those who the camp either considered disposable or dangerous so as not to incur the wrath of the staff. As he grew up, Geoff proved himself a loyal (if vicious) camper, and when he was sixteen he was appointed as a monitor to help keep an eye on the category A campers. It's a job he takes both seriously and vindictively, enjoying any chance he gets chastise an out of line camper. |
