[rs=2] | Full name: Lilian Valerie Hughes Position: Camper Code word: Verified by Bee. Height: 5'10" Weight: 125 lbs. Personality: Lily had always been a little bit strange, but bright. She picked things up easily, although usually more so when she was interested with the topic at hand. She gets bored easily with things she is not interested in, and usually just leaves it and carries on with something else. She tries not to give up too easily, but when she lacks proper motivation, that can be really hard for her. Her naturally born ADHD makes her very needy for something to do - whether it's practicing her powers, or reading old Greek books or something, she needs to do something to keep her busy, or she'll go insane. Rules are also important to her, although she may just break them if she sees no logic behind them. She always wanted to read, but her stupid dyslexia in the English language made her want to throw books at random passerbys. Now that she is able to read books as long as they're in ancient Greek, she reads every one of those she can find. Before she was claimed, people always assumed she'd be one of Athena's, although Lily just knew that wasn't true. She's a quick learner, picking up things easily and learning to control her powers - once she realized what they were - very efficiently. She is independent, and has no problem doing things on her own. Loves having an intelligent conversation with someone (hates the opposite) and can get into an argument pretty quickly if provoked, and says what she wants without thinking too much of the consequences, which has hurt people's feelings before without her really understanding why, but she will always apologize. Funny and witty, she loves laughing and is attracted to people who can make her laugh, but also people who are smart and understands her reasoning. Most of these attributes she had learned from her mother, with whom she grew up, but she does find herself possessing things she assumes her father to posses; a quick temper and unwavering stubborness. She also finds herself to like being in control, although she quickly realizes that she isn't always able. Being so intricately connected to the dead, and death itself, Lily values life more than anything, although she isn't scared of dying either. She'd go out of her way to keep someone else safe, even if it does endanger her life. Immortal parent: Hades Claimed?: Yes Mortal parent: Erica Hughes Other relatives: Her step-father, Ronald Peters History: Erica Hughes was born in Cheshire, England with a thirst for adventure, and a gentle heart. When she was twenty three years old, she had met a man she instantly fell for; dark, handsome and mysterious, it was easy to see why. She'd only known him for a week when he disappeared, leaving her with a growing baby in her belly. Of course Erica was happy to have a child, as any woman would be, but she was concerned about how she was going to take care of it without help from the father. Nine months later, a healthy baby girl was born to her, and she felt like that didn't matter anymore. She raised her with the help of her mother in the beginning, but as she was job hunting, met a charismatic salesman, Ronald Peters, and this time, he was the one who fell in love first. It took her a while, though, but she quickly did as well. Ronald knew about Lily, and even though Erica thought that was going to turn him away, it didn't. He and Lily sort of clicked from the get-go, and that was that. When Lily turned four, the two of them had finally decided to get married, the little redheaded girl delighted to throw rose petals down the aisle while her two favourite people in the world pledged their life to each other. After that, they were a happy family; Erica could finally move out of her mum's and she and Ronald got a small little cottage in the countryside of England, where they lived contently, even though Ronald had to work a lot to support his family. Erica told Lily about her father (not knowing which God he was), when she was old enough, and Lily was always a bit skeptical about it all, because, frankly, wouldn't you be? She hadn't told Ronald, though (rightly so) and it was only when somebody outside of the family told Lily that she was special - the daughter of a God - that she believed. After that, she started noticing things as well; how graveyards creeped her out more than others, how she could feel the life of others like a warm glow, and eventually went to Camp Half-Blood at the age of 11, not very happy about leaving England or her mother and step-father. But, as it turned out, she loved the Camp to bits. She loved the fact that she wasn't the weird one anymore, that everyone had dyslexia and ADHD as well, and that everyone was the child of a Greek God or Goddess, which is bloody awesome. She was a fast learner from the get-go, and picked up fighting slower than some of the other children, although she shone in other respects. She learned to manipulate the earth, being able to make it shake or crack or mold by command, and it was then that her father claimed her, and it was the proudest moment of her life. Of course, it also meant that she had to move into the Hades cabin, which was far from inviting, and had to put up with being Adolf Hitler flippin half sister. How is that fair? The rest, though, as they say, is history. |
