[rs=2] | Full name: Caden Louise Edwards Position: Camper Code word: Verified by Bee. Height: 5ft 5 Weight: 110 lbs. Personality: Caden is a quiet and collected girl, who hates attention upon herself and literally just wants to hide behind books all day. With chocolate. She is a self-confessed bookworm and spends a lot of time behind a book and has probably read the entirety of the Greek library. She is a caring person although she can be a little awkward and shy when there are too many people involved. Caden does get along well with people, though. Without trying to be, Caden is very cute and sweet and funny, although she doesn't see that in herself at all. She's a bit insecure and thinks she's the awkwardest person alive even if she isn't. Well, not always. Caden has a strange mix of spontaneity and introversion with a hint of straight-forwardness and the inability to tell a lie without fumbling over her words. She'll want to go out and do something, but she'll second guess it a lot and then just stay in with a good book. She's a very honest girl and tells people what's on her mind, only censoring a little bit of it. If there's something bothering her, it's really evident for everyone to see. Basically, she's as open a book to read as one of her books. It just depends whether you read what's written there or not. Very bright and clever, like her mother, of course, she is a bit of a rule-abiding know-it-all, but does it for the good of all. No, honestly. Immortal parent: Athena Claimed?: Yes. Mortal parent: Lance Edwards Other relatives: A mortal, younger sister, Emily Step-mother, Pauline History: Lance Edwards was always a quiet boy, although obviously bright. His grades were always superb, and his love for literature great, so he went on to become a Professor of English Literature at Oxford University. He spent most of his years there, and soon met an extraordinary woman, that he took a particular shining to, as she did to him. He was a clever bloke, and she must have seen that as well, because it wasn't long until she showed up at his door again, a baby in her arms. He promised that he would take care of her, because she had said she couldn't, and that was that. Lance loved Caden from the moment he saw her. He had to get a nanny for her, though, as his job was really demanding during the day, and Caden had always thought of her as her mother. Pauline, the nanny, and her father fell in love in time, and got married when Caden was about five years old. Lance told Pauline about Caden, Caden having grown up knowing only that her mother was Athena, and she was... surprisingly cool about it. A year later, they had Emily, who Caden is extremely protective over. As she got older, she realized that she had a lot of trouble reading, something that made her father, a lover of literature, extremely sad, but not discouraged. He read to her as much as he could, and she always loved it. Otherwise, she had a very uneventful childhood, especially for that of a demigod. Her marks were far below her capability, although she excelled in understanding science and maths, etc, and her dad helped her as much as possible. That is, until it became too much for him to handle; not that he didn't want to, but he knew that he had to send her to the camp. She didn't want to leave either; she clinged to him and cried, being only eleven at the time, and he took her all the way to the gate of Camp Half-Blood, where he handed her over, saddened beyond belief. She was happy, though, when she started learning more about it all. The best part was when she realized she could read. Actually properly read! Since then she hadn't stopped. She writes to her father a lot as well, and her step-mother and half-sister. Only after wielding a sword for the first time did she remember that her mother isn't only the goddess of wisdom, but also that of battle strategy, and she practiced and practiced, although she still considers learning and books to be more important. |
